Lai da Rims - The golden Age

This beautiful lake "Lai da Rims" is located on high plateau in Engadin (east part of Switzerland) and you can reach this place within a 3 hour hiking (and climbs totaling 1000m) from Santa Maria val Mustair.

I was waiting for some falling stars but the timing was very difficult. That's why I decided to capture the scene with the "normal" stars. Nevertheless, I saw a falling star and I made my wish ;-)

By the way, the tops of the mountains were illuminated by the moon.

Dufourspitze (Monte Rosa)

The Dufourspitze also known as Monte Rosa is the highest mountain of Switzerland and the second highest in the Alps (4'634m).

If you have the choice ... stay a night at Kulmhotel Gornergrat. It's the highest hotel in the Swiss Alps - 3100m.ü.M and a perfect location to gaze the marvellous Matterhorn skyline at sunset.

Magic Hour at Riffelsee (Matterhorn)

You won't believe it but this was today's magic hour at  Riffelsee. A cold but clear night was the foundation for the purple atmosphere and the thin "cat ice" was the basic for the reflection of the Matterhorn. What a breathtaking moment. It was really hard to release the shutter ... because I was caught by the beauty of this surreal spectacle.
